Polymer surfaces with antimicrobial surfaces

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

In this project polymer surfaces are investigated with respect to their interaction with microorganisms. One aim is to develop new materials which act as contact biocides. Hygienic polymer surfaces are of interest for clinical applications, storage of water and food, disinfection and the like. The characterization of modified surfaces by elektrokinetic measurements (zeta potential) is another important topic within this research project.
