The recycling of plastic materials is a timely research subject around the globe. Research is carried out on efficient recycling techniques. The present project aims to close the materials cycle of assorted plastics by research and development on a novel separation technique. This technique differs substantially from existing ones in that the material flows are separated in the molten state of the polymers. A continuously working centrifuge with peripheral devices enables mixed plastic compounds to be converted into pure material flows. The recycling industry will benefit from knowledge and experience gained from this project.
