Making TAiL LIFTS Save Using a tail lift system carries considerable risk. The operator needs to keep in mind the weight of the load, and where it is placed on the platform. When the operator makes a mistake in this regard, the system can easily get overloaded, and in a worst-case scenario the platform may break. The goal of this project is to define and find a sensor concept/strategy in order to reliably measure the load placed on the tail-lift and find the center of gravity for that load in order to ensure safe operation for our tail-lift systems.
