Project Details

Description

In this project a tool has been developed which helps energy consultants find the optimum building design by minimising the total Life Cycle Costs (LCC) for given design options and project-specific boundary conditions. The program uses a simplified dynamic calculation of the heating and cooling loads, considering the outdoor temperature and solar radiation variations in 1-hour-steps over the whole year. It optimises the building design regarding minimal LCC by taking different heat insulation levels, window areas and types, solar shading systems, orientation possibilities, earth heat exchangers, cooling and ventilation systems and solar hot water production systems into consideration. The program can be used to find a successful realisation strategy for building design by detecting, evaluating and sorting the economical and ecological measures. not assigned KP: diverse Gewerbebetriebe
