Description
The most important target of this project is to optimize the heat treatment of rolling mill rolls. Relations between temperature control and stresses will be investigated. Critical intervals of the heat treatment should be identified.
After determining the necessary input data, the heat treatment process will be simulated with a commercial Finite Elements Program to support well directed experiments. Finally, the results will be transmitted for use in serial production.
