Open Reassembly - Collaborative assembly of fragmented archaeological artifacts

Today, many artefacts of our archaeological heritage are preserved only as fragments. The reassembly of these parts to their original shape is thus a fundamental task in archaeology. This project involves the intellect of many users in the solution of this complex task, and ties it with computer-aided methods. A newly developed web-based platform aims to provide means to collaboratively reassemble fragments of relevant archeological artefacts to solve the problem and at the same time convey knowledge and raise awareness of our common culturage heritage.
