Description
The potential of fiber optic sensors (FOS) for surveying and monitoring applications of ÖBB
infrastructure will be evaluated, standardized and verified with a test installation.
The existing ÖBB - fiber optic telecommuniction infrastructure is examined in terms of the
capabilities of FOS. A standardized connection of the local application to the permanent fiber
optic network will be developed conceptually.
