Description
The main objective of the project is to improve the newly developed process for modifying 316L stainless steel powder suitable for additive manufacturing. The technical maturity (TRL) is increased from 4 to 7:
- Improvement of the process for combining 316L with silicon
- Proof of the suitability of the powder for additive production by means of selective laser melting.
- Proof of scalability for an industrial environment
The newly developed powder has the potential to disrupt the current market of stainless steel powder for additive manufacturing.
