Project Details
Description
This research projects aims at the development of new photochemical reactions in order to modify the surface of technical polymers. Surfaces are UV illuminated in the presence of a reactive compound which leads to a functionalization of the polymer surface. Investigations are carried out with spectrosopical techniques (e.g. FTIR), contact angle and zeta potential measurements. The practical application of such modified surfaces and polymer layers is investigated for electronic components as well as coating and bonding processes.
