Company is currently developing several timetable concepts for connections between Graz and Maribor, which will require an upgrade of the Werndorf-Spielfeld section. The most economical scenario has to be identified by cost-benefit analysis. The benefit is derived from the poetential passenger demand, which is determined by the ISV by means of a traffic demand model. Due to the increasing importance of Park&Ride and Bike&Ride, these intermodal trip chains must also be represented in the model. Extensive research is still required on Park&Ride.
