Project Details
Description
Due to the construction of a new hydroelectric power plant in the centre of Judenburg, there will be an underwater deepening and profile lowering. About 700 m downstream of the new weir axis, the Purbach flows into the Mur. The planned deepening of the riverbed will therefore change the inlet situation in this area - the difference in height between the Purbach and Mur riverbeds will increase. The proposed design for the new Purbach / Mur estuary structure is to be investigated and optimised in a hydraulic model test. For the verification of the energy dissipation and erosion resistance in the river bed of the Mur, with different impacts from the Purbach, we are preparing a full model.
