Description

These high tech ceramics, with excellent properties like elevated temperature resistance, wear and corrosion resistance, are used more and more in high-technology. Specific modeling is used to produce such ceramics to influence their properties. Specific dotations lead to given distributions of particular phases, by means of AEM (EFTEM, PEELS, EDX) to examine the distribution of Si3N4- and SiC-phases in the ceramic-microstructure. A specific interest is the distribution of free carbon by carbon over dotation.
