Description
Due to their high ionic and electronic conductivities strontium-substituted perovskites have potential applications e.g. as solid oxide fuel cell cathodes, gas separation membranes and oxygen sensors. In the case of La-Co-Sr-oxide the substitution of Sr is compensated by changes of the valence state of Co and by creation of oxygen vacancies. In this study the microstructures of La-Sr-Co-oxides of varying composition are studied by a combination of analytical high resolution electron microscopy, electron diffraction and electron energy-loss spectrometry.
