Description
Modern mathematical concepts like operator theory, symbolic
computation, differential geometry and representation theory
of compact Lie groups are applied to develop models of
inelastic materials.
Special emphasis is laid on modelling materials at large
(finite) strain and with anisotropic behaviour. But also
viscous and thermal effects and material damage are
considered.
Another important point is the suitability of the specific
models for experimental verification and numerical
implementation.
