Description
Polarized light microscopy is an optical technique that enhance contrast in crystalline materials. It is very important in characterizing the spherulitic textures of crystalline and semi-crystalline multicomponent polymers of semithin sections. The nature of the orientation in extruded and molded articles and the size and distribution of the spherulites have all been shown to relate to mechanical properties.
