Hydrostatic levelling system for large machine foundations

The concrete foundation of a large machine, like a huge machining center or a roll grinding machine determines the machine´s accuracy. Any deformation of the foundation reflects in geometric errors of the machine structure. So, machine beds have to be re-adjusted from time to time. The new levelling system, developed at IFT is based on water surface as reference and allows the computer aided detection of out-of -level errors.
