Project: Research project

Description

In order to reduce the CO2-emissions and to increase the energy efficiency, the efficiency of power plants using fossil fuels are to be further increased by using higher steam temperatures. These higher temperatures have a direct impact on the structure stability and the deposition structure which in turn have a large influence on damage behaviour and the long-term stability under load conditions.
Within this project, a monitoring system will be developed with integrated high temperature safe sensors that are permanently installed. It registers the mechanical-structural condition of the individual components permanently in condition dependent intervals in order to enable the plant operator to make reliable decisions for the safe plant operating and to plan component
exchanges during periods of planned shutdown times efficiently.
