Description
The sound insulation in the wet room poses a particular challenge due to the today often designed floor-level shower and the bathtub cladding in connection with the required sealing measures, the tile adhesive and the grouting, in order to make the effect of sound-absorbing measures such as edge trim and impact sound insulation effective. In cooperation with the research partner, it will be investigated whether special products and processing steps can reduce this problem or clarify, which influence the individual components have, in order to find further optimization measures by means of extensive measurements of the transfer functions, measurements with impact sound hammer in the laboratory and FEM simulation.
A particular challenge is the material mix required today, which also makes future disposal more difficult.
