Hydrogen is considered one possible energy carrier for the future. The introduction of alternative propulsion systems using hydrogen as a fuel requires broad customer acceptance. Main objective of this project is the development of a highly effective H2fuelled ICE employing a cryogenic mixture formation concept in order to achieve high power density, sufficient cruising range and both technical and economical efficiency to finally gain that acceptance.
