GrateAdvance project deals with the topic of appropriate design and operational parameters, providing for specific engineering and advanced control of flexibly adjustable grate systems, that can be operated with different types and qualities of biomass fuels, and at the same time ensure low emissions and high operational security regarding slag handling. The Austrian work share concentrates on the development of a model to support further development and optimisation of fuel-flexible grate systems, and also includes the development of a specific burner technology and a related novel fuel-flexible control concept.
