Geometry processing and analysis refers to the design efficient algorithms for the acquisition, representation, reconstruction, analysis, optimization, simulation and transmission of geometric information. Because geometric data becomes increasingly important for the development, simulation and communication of technical systems and context, efficient processing of geometric data has become a key technology. We analyze digital geometric shapes and develop a broad spectrum of new mathematical concepts in differential geometry, numerical optimization and visualization.
