    Project Details

    Description

Metrology plays an important role within the manufacturing sector. Accurate, reliable, and fast measurements are critical within the aeronautic industry due to the high precision level and the large dimensions of the manufactured and assembled parts. IPROMES (Image PROcessing as MEtrological Solution) aims at the development of improved photogrammetric and image processing techniques in order to perform positioning during the assembly phase and to complete the final quality control in the aeronautics sector. The development of these innovative optical solutions will enable end-users to obtain direct measurements without specific instrumentation. Consequently, the use of the sensors leads to a new concept of a frame that will only support the parts to be controlled and the cameras.
