Project Details
Description
From scientific investigations concerning aerosol formation in biomass combustion processes it is well known, that a considerable part of aerosols formed in biomass boilers builds up deposits on the tube surfaces by direct wall condensation. Within the project this effect should be intensified by an appropriate heat exchanger design. By this measure ash forming vapours should be precipitated in defined sections of the heat exchanger and thereby, the aerosol emissions of the combustion plant should be reduced. The main aim of the projct is to develop and design a heat exchanger, which provides the possibility to reduce the aerosol emissions of combustion plants using chemically untreated woody biomass fuels to values below 50 mg/Nm³.
