Project Details

Description

The subject area of this project can be entitled "smart maintenance". The company needs practical test conditions for the development and testing of technology components for the maintenance machines of tomorrow. The EM100VT works as a carrier vehicle and forms an ideal research environment for innovative technological leaps with high application potential. The first measurement data from this test vehicle have recently been recorded in Europe, which is why the next step will be to analyse these data with regard to the verification and further development of the measurement systems on the one hand and with regard to the derivation of necessary maintenance measures on the other hand. In addition to the mentioned boundary conditions, the combination of all measurement data determined by the EM100VT is planned as a base for the implementation of BIM in the railway industry. The aim is to make all the data obtained available within a Digital Twin. For this purpose, the outer geometry of the tracks (fixed points) and inner geometry (track geometry, space curves) are compared with the GPS/GNSS geo reference data. This comparison further improves the overall data accuracy.
