Characterization, optimization and modelling of friction welding process for large cross-sections (JOIN C.2)

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The aim of this work is to characterize the necessary process parameters such as friction force, friction time and rotation speed for friction welding of heavy and large components in order to yield to sound weldment experimentally. Moreover, some numerical modeling will be implemented to optimize the parameters used in friction welding of high carbon steels.
