CADMS - Computer Aided Disaster Management System

The main goal of this research project is to supply emergency crews with graphical and alphanumerical real-time sensor data of the building during emergencies. Not only the on-site emergency crews but also the control room is to be supplied with the vital data concerning the buildings and technical installations. One part of the project is researching methods for positioning the emergency crews within the building without especially equipping the building. All the sensor data will be displayed in a CAFM-System as well as on the mobile devices the emergency crews will be carrying. Special attention will be given to the development of a user friendly speech recognition system that allows for controlling the mobile device during extreme circumstances.
