Description

Numerical simulations based on "Computational Fluid Dynamics" (CFD) or the "Finite Element Method" (FEM) are used to drive the development forward. The complex thermo-physical processes during a fire resistance test (combustion process, heat transport - radiation and convection, heat conduction in the test specimen, deformation and thermal stresses) and their interactions are to be investigated in this research project, also for complicated materials and material combinations.
