Attitude determination using GPS

    Project: Research area

    Project Details

    Description

The attitude parameters describe the three-dimensional orientation of objects in space. These parameters are known as the angles of roll, pitch, and yaw. One method to determine these angular quantities is the use of GPS antenna arrays, i.e., the combination of two or more GPS antennas connected to one or more receivers. Depending on the actual configuration, the attitude parameters are determined by phase observations of the GPS carrier waves.
