The next consequent step will be the introduction of spark-ignited Otto gas engines to this segment. However, time and space regimes differ significantly from proven medium-speed four-stroke technology which makes a transfer of previous knowledge more challenging. The tasks in the project are as follows: - Predesign of pre-combustion chamber shapes - Predesign of operating conditions - 3D-CFD simulation of mixture formation and combustion in the prechamber - Experimental validation of the prechamber designs by means of measurements on special test-rigs
