Description

This study contains a treatise of business processes apt for automation. First the degree of automation, economic potential and objective benefit are structured and concentrated in an evaluation approach. The evaluation results in a business-process–automation-portfolio, which affords a selection of appropriate business processes. With the selected business processes the evaluation of a workflow management system is executed with a requirement catalogue. Finally a calculation model provides the comparison of qualitative and quantitative aspects to permit a decision. The method is proved in two companies of different sectors of industry.
