Description

Detection of flat wheels, overload, hot boxes, train profile
measuring, pantograph monitoring are just a few examples
of the capabilities of Wayside Train Monitoring Systems today.
These systems are subject to a rapid pace of development.
Manufacturers and customers from WTMS will report in
Berlin on this state-of-the-art technology, its uses and will offer
insight into future prospects.
The conference, organized by Eurailpress, will focus on systems that are mounted on to the infrastructure
of railways and which monitor the condition of rail vehicles. This is complemented by
systems designed to monitor infrastructure facilities, for example switches or technical equipment
which are important for WTMS e.g. RFID, axle counters or optical systems for train identification.
