KULI Online Seminar - Fuel Cell Application in a Truck

Activity: Talk or presentationTalk at workshop, seminar or courseScience to public

Description

To slow down climate change, European legislation has decided to examine the CO2-emissions of heavy-duty trucks from 2025 on with a mandatory fleet consumption reduction of 30% until 2030. To face this challenge, new propulsion systems for these trucks must be assessed. Battery electric vehicles could be one possibility to cut CO2-emissions, but the battery packs will be heavy for long-haul operations and thus payload will be low. One concept to overcome this drawback could be using a truck with fuel cell drive. In this webinar a co-simulation of MATLAB Simulink and KULI will be shown, where all coolant circuits, the air path and the cabin are designed in KULI. Besides the thermal management there will be information on the coupling of MATLAB Simulink and KULI, impact of the operating strategy on the fuel cell and much more.
