Description
We discuss the time evolution of magnetization profiles for various domain-wall like initial states. For the XY chain we consider domain walls created locally from the symmetry-broken ground state lthough the order parameter is not conserved by the dynamics, we show that a hydrodynamic description still holds, with a phase transition occurring at a critical parameter value. For the interacting XXZ chain a geometric quench is considered and the expansion of the magnetization profile is monitored. We verify the predictions of generalized hydrodynamics and point out a peculiar asymmetry of the front behavior between attractive and repulsive interactions.Period | 17 May 2019 |
