The shift to electrification of the automotive powertrain requires not only the development of new architectures, but also new methods for condition monitoring. The Institute of Machine Elements and Development Methodology, together with THEISSL systems GmbH, has developed a unique foil-based sensor for this task that can measure the lubrication condition.
