Abstract
Textile-reinforced concrete with high potential for use in lightweight, thin-walled structural components, need to be fire-resistant, as these elements participate directly in load transmission. Four fire tests have been performed on textile-reinforced concrete sections, in which one side of the section was exposed to fire. The textiles that were tested include AR glass, carbon and carbon-coated with styrene butadiene. The tests show that loadbearing behavior of textile-reinforced structural components in fire depends on the textile used, their bond to the concrete and the behavior of the concrete under high temperature.
