Abstract

Structural health monitoring is very often conducted with many different sensors, providing a multitude of different data types which range from single scalar values per measurement over frequency sweeps or acoustic amplitude signals up to multi-dimensional data from 2d cameras or even 3d tomography data. Often enough, this data is provided asynchronously. Storing and processing this data with tools optimized for a single specific sensor limits the users' options for sensor cross-correlation - on the other hand truly generic scientific data processing tools like Matlab or others require skill and time consuming programming per sensor and measurement project. Within the paper a generic and pervasive facility is presented that is able to store, post process and analyse any kind of sensor data generated in complex structural health monitoring applications.
