Abstract
A brief review of main novelties in the field of pre-treatment processes, which were exhibited at ITMA 2003, is given in the article. In the field of machinery, the exhibitors did not present any revolutionary novelty but mainly the improvements which met ecological requirements, such as development of ecologically friendly and harmless and above all cost-effective pre-treatment processes which consume less water and energy, and precise and computer controlled dosing devices for chemicals and textile auxiliary agents which provide constant pre-treatment conditions.
