Abstract

This article presents the requiremetns for the participation of power plants in grid restoration as well as the experiences of practical experiments in the Carinthian network. The evaluation of the test results shows that the power control of Pelton turbines by means of deflector control and nozzle provision can significantly increase the frequency stability of islanded grids.
