Transformation induced plasticity in steels is a phenomenon which is associated with phase transition. Phase transition can be caused by thermal, thermomechanical or pure mechanical loading. Simulation of this phenomenon is a fundamental basis of both the state-of-the-art fatigue strength calculation and the development of new materials. The development of models which describe basic physical processes, such as TRIP, is key for such a simulation. The goal of the planned project is to extend one of this models to the large-strain domain, so that it can be used in a finite element code in combination with large-strain plasticity, as it occurs in forming processes.
