Future Perspectives on Public Spaces
In this session TU Wien, TU Graz, LimeBike and Rijkswaterstaat will give an overview of future visions for urban street designs in light of changed demands for public space due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the rise of new mobility services, and the prospect of automated vehicles. As cities are challenged to plan across multiple horizons and balance increasingly diverse stakeholder interests, spatial assessments and design visions provide useful tools to integrate perspectives, mediate alternative futures, and communicate the benefits of transformation.
